ABOUT ME
Student at Savannah College of Art and Design
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design
Focus on who you want to be, not what you want to be. Rules help, but context is the key. As a Senior at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), these are the things that drive me. They are also the things that will make me a valuable part of any design team.
I am a creative hard worker who believes that potential is realized in the right conditions. I was a competitive gymnast until I was recruited to a competitive cheer team. We won state championships because our coach challenged us to become better versions of ourselves as individuals and as part of a team. She helped us embrace who we were and created a context for us to thrive.
I am an “A” student because I work hard. I have never gotten below an A, even in subjects that I don’t enjoy. I grew up doing arts and crafts with my father, but I never thrived as a creative until I got into the right context—one of the best art schools in the country. My hard work has found purpose, and my creative skills have blossomed in the fertile soil of SCAD.
While I love applying my work ethic to schoolwork I enjoy, my passion is in creating things that bring joy to others. I strive to be a part of a design team that carries the spirit of an environment and marries it with a brand to create a space that enhances experiences.
A design element is only as good as the context it is in. The right piece in the right place improves the whole. I believe the most impactful results and personal growth come from teamwork, where diverse perspectives are valued, and every individual plays a key role in shaping the final outcome. I love collaborating with others to bring designs to life, as I believe that this collective effort leads to the most innovative and successful results.
My greatest inspiration comes from traveling, as it allows me to experience new cultures, environments, and architectural styles firsthand. The diversity I encounter while traveling fuels my creativity and helps me view design through a global lens. Whether it’s the details of a historic building in France or the vibrant colors of street markets in Greece, every experience shapes my design approach. I draw inspiration from these encounters, blending them into my work to create spaces that evoke a sense of discovery and connection.
Additionally, I find inspiration in the dynamic relationship between fashion and interior design. The way these two art forms influence one another drives my creativity and excites me to blend them seamlessly through textures, materials, and spatial compositions. This fusion not only shapes personal style but also has the power to inspire trends and elevate aesthetics.
My journey at SCAD has been one of growth, discovery, and a deeper connection to my personal design philosophy. Through challenges and creative exploration, I have grown more confident in my belief that design is more than just aesthetics—it is an experience, a story, and a powerful way to shape how people interact with their surroundings. At SCAD, I have honed my ability to craft spaces that are both intentional and inspiring, with a focus on enriching the human experience and creating lasting impressions.
